La Aroma De Cuba Corona Minor
I am seriously thinking about buying these, but like with any other smoke, it's hard to commit to a box before I've ever smoked one. Anyone have a take on this particular vitola?

I've fallen in love with these...really a great smoke and IMHO very tasty. BTW I recently purchased a box of these from Cigar-place.biz for just under $67.00.

I agree.
They are very tasty and offer admirable complexity and pop for such a lil customer. I've found them to burn slowly and reward patience during smoking - again, things you don't always associate with small cigars. Not to contribute to the delinquency of a major or anything, but just my ![]()

Re: La Aroma De Cuba Corona Minor
Jimmy,
I would have to echo what was said about these and the their tie-n to the "land of Hades" for cigar smokers. I don't see the vitola you mention often over there, but if you are willing to check out another size - there are lots of deals. BTW, and FWIW (grains of salt included), the La Arome de Cuba Churchill was CA's #20 of the 25 top cigars for 2006. I picked a box of those up at "Demon Central" for $64 and put them in the recent "cheap-smoke" split I did. I have actually seen them go for cheaper than $64 (not a lot cheaper, of course). Cheers, BillyBarue PS - glad I had time to edit. 5-packs on your vitola open today (http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=434019). Probably should have sent via PM, the cat's outta the bag now. Thanks Aaron, I had time to edit mine - it should work now.

Cool! I am a fan of very few Churchill's, but I went ahead and ordered a box of these Corona Minors...if I don't like them, I'll make deals on 5ers!

Re: La Aroma De Cuba Corona Minor
I haven't had the corona minor, but have had the monarch and Marquis. I love the corona gorda size, but have run into many inconsistencies with this smoke.
When they are on, they are tasty, medium bodied with no spice and a great aroma. However, I have gotten a bunch that had difficult draws and spoil the flavor. They also tended to have a lot of burn problems to the point where I'm getting frustrated enough not to go back to them. I'm leaning more now toward the Fonseca Habana Seleccion instead. While they aren't exactly similar smokes, I put them in the same type of category PS..I keep all my smokes at 65%, so its not a factor of being too wet, eventhough it seems like it is.
