I have tried them and I like them but I'll say that before taking the chance of wasting $90.00 next time to shop around for some online retailers that sell 5-Packs, Cigars international or cigar-bid are a few off the top of my head (Do a search here for where to buy Or something similar) . Most of the online retailers sell 5-packs and that way you can try 6 or 7 brands and flavors for your money, then buy a box of the one you like best.

Re: Hoyo De Monterey Dark Sumatra

I tried my first Sumatra today, courtesy of my BOTL and favorite horror film critic Jim. Classic looking cigar, it felt firm and sturdy between my fingers. Took me two tries to light, but began to burn perfectly with a nice white ash. As I smoked the first few minutes, it had nice tobacco flavor and I thought "this is a decent nc for an everyday type smoke". But then everything changed, as the flavor took a delicous detour to what my newbie palate would describe as a creamy chocolate flavor. Suddenly my "decent everyday smoke" turned into an excellent cigar, as I greedily drew several times a minute. The burn continued to be perfect, with a slightly tight draw, and I enjoyed every puff. Towards the end, it turned a bit spicy, but still retained the creaminess from earlier. Quite a suprising smoke!

Thanks Jim....I thank you, my credit card company will thank you, HdM will thank you, some on-line dealer will eventually thank you...excellent cigar!

Hey Tom!!!

Ain't those things great?!?!? Nice, oily wrapper. Sturdy construction and nice even burn. I've yet to have a bad one!!!

Sadly my cigar store is no longer going to stock them, and JR's no longer has any in stock!!
