Fair price for OpusX Chile pepper???

Hey ya'll,

IME It's easier to find a drop dead gorgeous red head with a high IQ in this town then a selection of Opus X.

One of the B&M's that I sometimes visit(cause they're open till 9pm) has two OpusX Chilli peppers. I have no experience whatsoever with this stick. They're naked and they want $34each. I've heard heard they don't make em anyone, is this true??

Anyway, Being a native NewMexican and Chile fanatic I thought it would be nice to have some of these in my collection but the price seems like horrible. This same B&M has some common Opus sticks for $28 so like most IME they're gouging. God only knows how long they've been their, they're probably stolen more then sold.

Peace and TIA!

Couldn’t fined a MSRP anywhere but that sounds a little high, obviously it just depends on what you are willing to pay because those are pretty hard to come by,

Here are a couple links with some info:

This is a great site with tons of info and MSRP, lists just about everything NC:

This is an auction site that sold one, I don’t think there is a way to find out how much it sold for.

And this is unrelated but really cool, I haven’t seen these before:

$75 on Moki's site... http://www.vitolas.net/displayimage.php?album=35&pos=5

If they are the forbidden X kind, and they are real and not counterfiet, then I'd get them.

BTW, what town do you live in?

Price actually seems a little low.

If they are authentic and you ca n be sure of it, go for it. That is a great price for them. I would get a few if he has them.

If by naked, you do mean no label, that raises a flag for me.

The do still have them at the Casa store in Vegas (as of last week), I thought they were marked at $85 each

Re: Fair price for OpusX Chile pepper???

This is an awesome collectors item that i would probably pick up. (obviously i would eventually smoke it) but this would be one to just "have" in the humidor, if it is real. Also if it is naked, as in no FF Opus X label on it, i wouldnt believe it for a second. Good Luck

Re: Fair price for OpusX Chile pepper???

I've heard of shops that broke up the Prometheus Opus22 collection and were selling the individual cigars for around $40+/-.

http://www.prometheuskkp.com/product.../ffox-cfcf.htm

That price does seem a bit low and if they came from the Opus22 box I would expect them to still be in their coffins and have celo (if that's what you mean by naked).

Re: Fair price for OpusX Chile pepper???

Hey ya'll,

Thanks for all the input. I'm aware of the Fuente retail prices but we all know those are just and indication of how badly your overpaying.

Yes, By naked I mean no cello. They have bands and it would be a cold day in hell before I would pay that much for an unsure Zgar with no band.

Anyway, they don't have coffins. If they all come in Coffins then I'd be suspicious of that. I guess it's a moot point as I can't afford to pay that much right now and especially if I'm not sure they're 100% real. They'd just be an investment anyhow.

Peace and Thanks again.
