Good mild connecticut cigars for reasonable price?

I'll admit I'm more of a full-bodied kind of smoker. I favor stuff like JdN, La Gloria Cubana Serie R, Camachos, etc. But I was smoking a Fonseca 5-50 and I realized that once in awhile I like a change of pace, especially for a daytime smoke, like on a weekend afternoon. I have come to enjoy the distinctly different flavor from a nice connecticut wrapped cigar...

I have come to realize that my collection is sorely lacking in this department. I am hoping to achieve a nice balance so I can pick out a cigar for any mood I may be in...

I have a few I want to try such as: RP Conn, 5 Vegas Gold, C.A.O. Gold, Cusano 18, etc.

Anyone like these or have any other recommendations?

Thank you, I appreciate the help!

One of the most consistent, well made...The Griffin's Robusto is one of my favorite Connecticut wrapper cigars.

Quote:
A blend of three distinct Cibao Valley-grown, aged tobaccos and a superior Dominican binder are meticulously hand-rolled and finished in a lush U.S. Connecticut shade-grown wrapper.
You will not be dissapointed. I picked up a 5 pack of Tubos on CBID for $23, worth every penny. A pleasure to smoke and (I know it sounds funny) watch burn.

Made in Davidoff’s Dominican factory.

The following photo is not a robusto but I have not yet done a photo session with the robusto yet. I believe it is a torpedo.

Well I will chime in on the RP Connecticut's - I like them as a good early morning with coffee smoke. Keep and eye on CI - they often run "buy a box and get 20 free with it."

Condega Connecticut? i've only had one and it was pretty good, dirt cheap, and has "connecticut" in the name.

Re: Good mild connecticut cigars for reasonable price?

The best cigar ROI of all time :

Cigar King Aged Reserve

I know I blow my horn on these things enough to be considered Cigar King shill extraordinaire but they really are that good. They're better than the tastiest Avo or Davidoff I'd ever had..... creamy butter, exotic spice and what creamed wood must taste like... all changing and melding with coffee and powdered sugar drowned in butter like the best french toast ever....and so much more..... MAN they are awesome. Strength-wise, they lean mild but are not boringly mild, but they are not chuck norris either. Perfect mild-leaning balance of body.

I personally prefer the corona size, it brings out the most in the exquisite 1997 connecticut shade wrapper coupled with the blend.

If maduro is your thing, the maduro are equally as exotic.

$59.95 a box for the corona size, and only a few bucks either direction for various other sizes:
$12.95 for a 5-pack of the corona size, and only a few bucks either direction for other 5-ers.

That reminds me, I need one right now.....
