Master's Select perfecto is one of my all time go-to favs, Vintage Shaggy (if you can find it) is great
the main thing is to try a couple and see if they are worth it to you, many can be bought for decent prices, stuff like the beast is crazy $20 or so, cbid has great deals on samplers |

Re: Ghurka's
Out of smoking quite a few, the only one I would buy again is the G3. I would smoke a shaggy if someone traded or gave me one. The rest are crap IMO.
Great looking sticks, labels and boxes though. If you can get some singles cheap, maybe get a few to make your glass-top humi look better. |

Re: Ghurka's
i'll only get gurkha's from cbid, not worth it at the B&M $ IMHO-that being said, the master's select robusto for med body, gold collection robusto #4 for full body, peppery taste, & the centurian XX just because

Re: Ghurka's
I'm reading this thread wondering to myself "why such animosity towards the Gurkha's"? (of course I understand it for the Vintage
)I am not a Gurkha super-fan by any means, but I had just finished a Legend Torp, of which I have 12 more from 5 months ago, and it was a pretty decent, mild stick. Nothing to rush out and get more, but FOR $2 EACH (from cbid) I was plenty happy and again, wondering why so much negativity and discussion of being overpriced. So I go the the CI website - box of 20 reg price = $390, CI price = ONLY $225? Ok, NOW I get it. WAAAAY overpriced. Same with Class Regent which I like. Got them for $2.50/stick from cbid and thought this was a good cigar for the money...now I see that CI has them for a box of 20 Torps = $170? Not this boy, uh uh...not paying $8.50 for these, no way. I guess cbid has really gotten me out of touch with real world prices. And I have not been there for a few months either...I wonder, could prices change this quickly or is this really a Gurkha-thing...swept up in the marketing buzzsaw.

Re: Ghurka's
I like the Legend. It is my favorite. However, I have enjoyed several of their smokes.
Check CBID, as they always have tons of Gurkhas for cheaper than you can buy them at the B&M. |
