Question Joyo de Nicaragua

Has anyone tried the Antano 1970 line of this cigar? I'm thinking of buying a five pack of the Robusto Grande, but I would like to get a second opinion. I'm basing my purchase on the review that was posted on Top 25 Cigar site.

Great cigar, nice flavors and never underperforms, but would recommend you have a nice size meal or the buzz will be wicked hard.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

i heard they were real ass-kickers, but every one i've smoked has been nice and mellow, not too strong at all.
decent cigar.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

Just opened a box a few days ago. Nice med/full body, rich nic flavors, good after dinner. Bonita Smoke Shop has them for 57.50 and they don't rape on shipping.

Plus in FL you usually get next day delivery.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

If you like the nics, you might want to try the Camacho Havana line as well. Slightly milder than the JdN's but a great smoke for the prices. Bonita SS carries these as well.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

I had the machito from Mo (thanks again). And while it was strong it was also smooth and very tasty. I am not sure how the largers ones will be though. I really enjoyed that cigar and definately will buy a box.

BTW I did post a review on it in non-habanos review section.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

I've found that they are pretty spicy/peppery. The smaller gauge you get the more this spice will mellow out. I've enjoyed the ones I've had.

If you don't like 'em I'm sure you can find someone around here to take them off your hands.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

I posted this once before..I got an Antano from LeafHog,,went to the Casino ate like a pig at the breakfast Buffet and fired up and it put all 260lbs (solid muscle) right on my ass. I didn't think a cigar could do that to me anymore...

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

I would say to pick a couple up at your local shop and try them. You'll find that they are very spicy but smooth with pretty good flavor. For the price I think they are a great smoke.

Re: Joyo de Nicaragua

I was recently gifted a Machito on a trade. Stuck it in the back of the humidor and forgot it for about a month before firing up one night.

Bought a cab the next day!

Awesome smoke. I need to get one of the sampler packs so I can try the other sizes in this line.
