La Aroma de Cuba Robusto. You have to be able to suck the chrome off a trailer hitch to get anything through the one batch that I had. When they were not plugged, they were heaven!

Re: tightest cigar ever
Well last night, I thought I had brought a Torano exodus with me when I went to smoke, then I realized it was still in my otterbox back at home in my backpack. I checked my 3-finger case and found a cigar I had just tossed in there, not really thinking... at first glance it looked like another run-of-the-mill average smoke. It had potential, but I really had wanted to try that Torano because other Toranos I had had been so good.
I lit this cigar up and after the first puff, my eyes lit up as smoke billowed out and flavor overtook me, and I gave the band a good look... St. Luis Rey Habano. I had stashed a cuban without even realizing it. And this one, probably because it had been out of my humi (which was at about 70) and in the case for a couple day, had dehumidified... was a dream!!! No tight draw, no grassy flavor... I was taken from disappointment to extacy... one of the best smokes I have had, and I have regained my faith in the ISOM... I can't remember which BOTL sent me this one... I think it was either 1f1fan or da klugz, in a drawing trade, whoever it was, thanks!!!! I now must acquire more of these. -eef |

Re: tightest cigar ever
I pulled into a shop just into Canada on my way to Montreal this fall and grabbed a RyJ tubo #2. I was happy about the purchase because the last on I had was unbelievable...strange but true. So I pop this puppy open and give it a clip. I toasted the foot a bit and tried to flame her up and I could barley draw through it. I had some forceps I use for Fly fishing in my console so I tried to extract a bit of tobacco. Still no luck. I actually got so enraged at this point that I tried to chew the end off it like a wild animal.
To add to my disgust I walked into a bar and noticed that The Sox were being clubbed by the Yanks 17-6 in the 7th inning of game 3 of the ALCS. Even my Monte 4 began to taste like .What a night.

After all, I had that one cigar once that I liked, and others seem to like them... So I had a Carlos Torano Silver Corona Grande. Apparently, it was the big brother of the Signature Robusto. Same impossible draw. Suck as hard as possible and end up with one little wisp of smoke in your mouth. I really tried with this one. I grabbed a pointed knife and started trying to loosen the end. I pulled out little bits. I stabbed some more. The end started to look looser so I tried again. Draw hadn't changed. I squeezed a bit and tried to soften it, nothing. I clipped more of the end off, even past the rounded part, hoping it was only tight at the end. Still nothing. I clipped again. A half inch at a time, it got shorter and shorter but the draw remained impossible. Oh well, Carlos, you had your chance ![]() |

Re: tightest cigar ever
My worst one was an unbanded cuban That was hard as a rock. Getting any smoke at all from it was a miracle. Then what I did get from it ended up tasting grassy.
Since then I haven't been that enthused about ISOM's.
