Mixing Sticks in the Humi?
Sorry I wasn't sure where to put this since it is kind of a question about both cigars and humidors, but mostly cigars I think.
Anyway, as a noob I got a few samplers so I could taste a bunch of cigars. Now my problem is, is it ok to put all of these different cigars in the same humi space? two samplers I have are identical so I have 2 of each of those cigars then I have a complete different one (like 20 cigars in total). I have read that you want to keep like cigars together but I have no idea what cigars are alike and which ones are totally different. So any advice on what I should do? |

Re: Mixing Sticks in the Humi?
Go ahead and store them together. I have read alot here that it would take a long time for the flavors to marry.
No flavored smokes in the sampler, is there? Flavored cigars should be stored seperate.

Re: Mixing Sticks in the Humi?
In general, if the wrapper looks similar, the cigars are "alike". As long as they aren't flavored, I really don't see any problem storing cigars that are different together. If you store them with the cellophane on, any marriage of flavors that might happen is going to happen VERY slowly, if it happens at all.

![]() That's it in a nutshell. It takes many years for flavors to marry and unless you have an extremely sophiticated and sensitive palate, you'll never notice. Flavored and infused cigars should never be stored in the same humidor or coolerdor with your regular smokes. |
