Re: A Pack of Roasters Running Amok

For those new roasters who may not be aware of coffee harvesting/shipping schedules, I am attaching a general schedule as we are discussing moving some of the RRA coffee's around a bit:

That is a handy little chart, Jim. Thanks.

The old Root has turned into a regular snot since he moved to Wisconsin, hasn't he? Mr. "My Apartment's To Small To Accept OTHER Peoples Coffee," and that's that.

I think something happened to him on that long drive north.

I think we refer to that as crossing the Mason/Dixon Line.

Snot! Why yes. Been having that with my nightly cup of nyquil. What great things these running colds can be.

It's not that i wouldn't be happy drinking your coffee gents, it is the lack of my greater refinements that give me pause. Now be off with me and retrack this thread to gather your pack.

Re: A Pack of Roasters Running Amok

We might have a winner folks, after some discussion, the first RRA roast is tagged as "Costa Rican St. Andreas Tarrazu". This is still a firm maybe at the moment, but is currently the front runner. For you newer roasters that have never done a Terrazu, this is a relatively high, hard bean that is usually fairly easy to roast with a nice balance of brightness & body.

This sounds like another excellent adventure courtesy of OMM. I hope you folks have a great time with this.

Your thoughts?

I don't really know what to think about that. Sounds worse then kidney stones to me.

Have fun.

Yes - we are manly men who pass our cigars like we pass our coffee beans. Or something. OMM? Great. Just great. Why you piece of civetitious arabiciana...

Costa Rican Taz? Why am I not surprised? Whodat1 probly pounded N'urf senseless and then forced him to sign a paper admitting that CoRiTaz is what it's all about.

I can roast and drink 5# of CoRiTaz with one hand tied behind my back. No worries.

Damn the luck - almost got off without buying anything for the first official RRA roast (I already have a few pounds of Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu that I haven't tried yet).

Irrelevant cquon!! I am fully sanctioned by Moo, without his knowledge of course, to censure you in this matter.

The RRA Rules clearly state, and I ad-lib, that all participants will utilize the same beans, from the same source with the same born-on date, shipped thru the same dusty warehouse with the same collection of train rail dust and equivalent coatings of salt from the sea voyage.

It's right there in Paragraph 3, Sub-Paragraph 1.7, Section 4.007 - read the rules
