HERESY! I suggest you run outside right now and roast some to a city+.

Actually Moo, I did try to get N'surf to go for La Minita, but he didn't have it. With all the relatively new roasters here, Taz ought to be a good start roast, it's easy to roast, fairly consistent & mighty tasty. Then a lot of roasters can build up their confidence...that can then be dashed next May!

CONDITION BLACK - PREPARATORY STAGE.

Sign ups are still open - there is no limit to the number of participants.

Participants are making a good-faith pledge to buy 5# each of four different beans; participants will buy beans from a source that I select. The vendor sets the price - not me. You are signing on for a year, buddy, so stay healthy. The RRA program is about learning some technique along with your brothers - and about having fun without any real time pressure.

The four beans, selected by the RRA07-08 official staff, will be purchased directly by you. You are required to buy one 5-lb lot per quarter. Over the course of each quarter we'll discuss roasting methods, techniques and results. There is a requirement to complete a roasting results form (to be posted by the RRA 07-08 staff) once per quarter. The is NO requirement for smoking cigars or pipes (not that it won't help) - and there is no obligation for passing of goods. You can pass roasted beans around for comparison if you like but it isn't a requirement.

Third Quarter is going to be yirg for everyone. If you don't know what yirg is, do your homework. The first 16 RRA 07-08 signups have been automatically admitted to the highly prestigious 3rd Annual MayDay Yirgacheffe & Cigar Pass. If you fell into the "auto-selected" Sweet 16, you ARE NOT OBLIGATED to participate. You may resign prior to MayDay if you wish and contine with the regular RRA 3rd quarter bean. The MayDay Yirg & Cigar Pass is most definitely a pass and entails a fair amount of shopping, packing, gifting, ingenuity, wrapping, bribes* and closely timed roasting and shipping. Do not get mixed up in this Pass if you are not totally serious about coffee roasting, keeping promises AND cigars (except NapCat, who gets a pass on the cigars). One bad apple in the MayDay thing is gonna piss me off largely so, if you're in, you're all the way in.

That's it, now you've gone too far! I havn't molested a fish in........almost 2 weeks now. Besides, that little tramp was asking for it anyway, slinking around naked under my boat with that come hither look on her gills. The darting in and out of the coral and seductively appearing on my bottom machine, only to dash away. I know she wanted it. I'm a sick mofo, I need to seek help, help catching fish that is.
