Brikka Moka Pot Slow Pass

[SIZE=3]I’m starting a Brikka Test Drive PASS. The purpose is to put a Bialetti Brikka in your hands to play with for two weekends. I figured two weekends as a weekend is usually the only time we have to play. As there is a lot of cross-over’s to other slopes, I’m adding a bead stick, cigars and pipe tobacco to the mix. I’ll be providing the Brikka and a Vietnamese Coffee Pot. I’m also going to include selection of my favorite cigars and pipe tobaccos. At the end of the pass, in the distant future, the pass will wind up back here.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=3]At the conclusion, I’ll hold three lotteries. Everyone involved in the pass will be registered in all three unless they decide to bow out of a category.[/SIZE]

• [SIZE=3]For the Brikka and any other coffee style goodies that come back.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]Cigars[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]Pipe Tobacco[/SIZE]

[SIZE=3]The rules for this pass are as follow: [/SIZE]

• [SIZE=3]To play, you must have been a CS member for three (3) months and have at least three (3) in trader feedback.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]From the date of arrival you have two (2) weekends to test the Brikka[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3] Don’t take more than you give[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]Take/Put cigars/tobacco of equal value[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]There is a list included to list where you write the cigars / pipe tobacco you take and give.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]Mail out the box to your next brother/sister immediately after the second weekend. Additionally, you do not have to keep the Brikka Pass for two weekends. If you finish early, send it on.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]If you are a roaster, ask the next person on the list if they need coffee. Some of us will, some of us will not. No point in shipping around stale beans.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]After shipping, post the Delivery Confirmation number in this post.[/SIZE]
• [SIZE=3]Don’t be too generous, we have to ship this thing![/SIZE]

I suppose before I do this I should make sure the Brikka is different than the regular Bialetti Moka Express I have, right?

If it's not much different there is no need for me to try it.

Different performance. The Moka Express and the Brikka are lot a five-speed stick vs. an automatic transmission. I am thinking they'd be real interesting to have side by side.

Some of the Brikka vids on youtube are looking pretty impressive. I may have to rethink that little pressurizing McGuffin.

The only problem I see in this vid is the risk of leaving the coffee on the heat longer (or hotter) than necessary. I suppose if your coffee tastes bitter you'd know it, though.

I am really interested in seeing this puppy at work. Personally the mokapot doesn't really give me what I want, other than for occasional use. I could see the Brikka possibly getting use every weekend
