opusxox: A memory like an elephant. You found me out. I have been sent to lower demand circuits. I'll prove it can be done with one amp or less.





This drum just never quite made it with the little 1600W thermostat-hacked rewired Meco electric grill - almost, but not quite. I used it for several years but it needed a lot of insulation and warm-up time to get two pounds done in 18-20 minutes. Time to move it, along with some more rotiss'power, to a new gasser.

Dan - I have just recenty been looking into a gas grill (not BBQ) set up as well...sniffing around the edges, if you will. I commend you on taking the plunge.

As for the ruffians above, I have my money on the fact that the previously-touted "mad skilz" will very likely end up looking more like "somewhat angry abilities" after you get yourself up and running.
