Coffee Forum Rule 13,123,968,456,123,123,.22.00001

Proposed by: Mr. Moo

Seconded by: Leafhog

Date of Enactment: 3/12/06

From this date forward, henceforth and forever till the end of time, no member of the Coffee Forum shall consider changing their method of roasting withoutwithout full vote and consent of the Forum

Not to be a stickler for details, but it's already bean decided that this how things shall be done.
I made that rule? Another fabulous coffee irony.

Nevertheless, my mind is made up. If need be I'll take raisin and SilvrBck and we'll all go to the Blogs>Q&A Forum and roast over there. A sort of a schism. Don't get to use that word very often.

I'll depart the relative comfort and security of the barely 1-lb, 13-minute electric SCCO for the enhanced targeting capabilities and real firepower (if you'll pardon the expression) of a gas grill + rotisserie. Besides, this forum is long past-due for a participating BBQ-roaster. Somebody needs to lead the way. Complacency is the real enemy in all things, isn't it?

Time to up the ante, lads. 2-5 pounds, shorter roast dwell and improved temp response and control. I'm thinking 25 inch-pounds of torque will move my stainless steel perforated wastebasket (plus a few pounds of coffee) along at 20 rpm. See cat. page 996.

Good luck SCCO'ers - good bye - and may better beans be yours.
Now I understand. This is really all about me. He's tired of others taking all the risks and raising their insurance (homeowners and hosptialization) He seeks to gain new ground in coffee roasting exploring by adding a 20 lb bottle of propane to the roasting mix! I'll start stocking up on lint free clean bandages. Can't wait to see your pixs.

This is part of the thrill, isn't it? Taking things up a notch or two.

Yes only if I liked to partake in a sip or twelve. Being called a strange bastage is a far better term than I usually encounter on my daily route. In to many instances my name in its various states of infamy is taken what I deem either inappropriate or dang mean spirited. But here I know its used in much more of a fond way. So I will respond in kind by fitting in. I thank you sir and I pledge to drink nothing but the fine bean as it was meant to be consumed.

Your string of emoticons makes it look like you went to the ShawnP School of Roasting. Just add a or two as well as maybe a and a and it would be official

Re: I am leaving the SCCO roasting community.

This is just great.

I decide to improve my roasting technique; and folks decide
I am bailing out;
Frank is in;
Skip is calling me Swedish names (Ole);
Vic is suing me;
Zack is defending me;
raisin is mocking me;
Syekick hopes I'm trying to blow myself up;
EvanS claims he was already set to BBQ coffee anyhow (poser);
Leafhog throws me a feelings-hurting jab; and
his pawn SilvrBck flips me off on my way out the door.

The heck with it. This whole forum is slap out of control and cannot operate without some sort of lynchpin, a solid anchor to hold it in place. Since there is no mod here I will put my plans on hold and continue to be the anchor (around your necks) that keeps this forum from spinning off wildly into the cosmos.

You have all brought this on yourselves. I am pissed.

You may all be sorry that you've begged me to stay.

So, who's in for a cup of moka cafe-au-lait and a Hemingway for breakfast?
