Your favorite brewing method

You get the goods. You're savvy. You go online, point click and a uniformed employee brings you the goods. For some of you, the goods are already roasted. For some of you, the goods need some flame. Either way, it comes down to the one word: extraction.

What are your favorite way to brew your coffee?

Hands down for me: French Press. What say you?

Mokapot first, French Press second.

Thanks for asking

Re: Your favorite brewing method

Plain old drip is my current fav, but I don't have my french press yet to try it

I do enjoy the mokapot on occasion and when not at home enjoy espresso, capuccino and lattes.

Re: Your favorite brewing method

I have not been fortunate to try a variety of ways up to this point in my coffee drinking career, so my favorite in my limited experience would be the french press.

Re: Your favorite brewing method

Really depends on where, when and what I am in the mood for.

I love French Press for my every day extraction both for the ease of use and body mouth feel I get from French Press.

If I had the time, resources to do the top flight espresso well that is a favorite for taste but I haven't hit that slope yet. I do really enjoy the couple of places in town that pull a really good shot.

Sometimes when I am looking for a change from the FP my mokapot is a great way to mix it up. I also really enjoy a cup from the moka pot after a big dinner.

There is a time and place for every extraction method so for me the best one is the one that fits the current circumstances. How is that for a weasel answer?

Re: Your favorite brewing method

Currently use the Aeropress for day to day use if I'm only having a cup or two. When I'm packing for work, I use the Vac Pot and then throw it in a thermos for the day.

Slowly getting the wife to enjoy a latte now and then.

Re: Your favorite brewing method

French press is overwhelmingly my first choice.
Mokapot and Espresso are nice on weekends when I have more time.

French Press! The very first sip of the very first cup of the day is just so...magical.

French press for drip! The Aero-Press was great when we went camping. It's nice for crowd pleasing brew with no sediment.

Oscar espresso. There is no substitute.

(Except, maybe, a $10 mokapot.)

Re: Your favorite brewing method

French Press is by FAR my favorite. Drip with my Technivorm is my usual ritual. I have to say for a drip machine; it's darned good!
