a 3 year old gaggia classic was on ebay for $200. Sold for $235, missed the high bid by a second.

You can get a refurbished one for less than that with a 1 year warranty from Wholelattelove.com.

I have a Gaggia Baby that I got from them a few months ago that's working great.

You sure it's the Brushed Classic, I couldn't seem to track one down on their site. There is a gaggia coffee for $230. You wouldn't happen to know the difference between them?

i don't know about brushed Classics, but do know that the Gaggia baby has the 3 way solenoid, which makes it a little cleaner I think. I don't think the Coffee has it.

I believe the innards are about the same on all of them.

I was real close to the Rancillio Silvia, but after a lot of debating and reading, went with the Gaggia.

There are a lot of people who knock the boiler, but I have no problems with it and find it heats quickly and the water tank allows me to pull more shots than I have needed so far.
