I have a very simple rule regarding my coffee: if it's good coffee, I drink it black. If it's clearly swill (ie standard fare), then sugar/cream to cover it up and make it tolerable. Usually I drink swill to stay awake...

i like it all. depends on my mood and the temp outside. however, i usually start my day with four shots of espresso with a splash of milk. bought a gaggia machine and it has been used daily for 5 years without a let down. good strong brew.

I prefer mine black, coffee and chickory from Louisiana.
A few years back I was working as an IT consultant and was doing a job for Publix here in Florida. There was a Cuban who worked there and every afternoon, just about the time everyone was ready to doze off from a belly full of lunch and the afternoon doldrums, he would bring around a tray loaded with small cups of Cuban coffee. Wow! That was certainly an eye opener and everyone was happy to grab one. Good stuff.  |

If I make it, Black. If someone else makes it, usually with cream. There are a few friends that make a proper coffee, but not many.

I like my coffee like I like my women: ground up and in the freezer.
 ...I kid, I kid.I take it black. Even a hint of cream and it tastes terrible to me. Mine is usually french pressed, although I do like to use those italian percolators sometimes.
