This morning's cup is laced with sweet goodness from the Bagersh family. Ethiopian Biloya Especial, city roast. Spectacular, but I think some of you already know that. French pressed, black no sugar.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

Uncle Beanz Holiday Reserve - how smooth can a coffee be? Yeah, you heard me...THIS smooth!!

Spending the rest of my day hiding, defending and otherwise trying to ration these beans away from the unwashed masses that are my family. By God I am gonna doel these out if it's the last thing I do

I don't drink like I used to so I think tonight I will brew me up some Doi Chaang Aged Piko's Peaberry Dark to ring in the New Year

An accidental 50/50 blend of Indonesian Timor and Panama Beans. Turned out pretty nice.

Late 2006 crop of Brazil Cup of Excellence (de Castro farm) that is outfreakin' standing. Pulped natural yellow bourbon beans. Wow.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

This morning's cup is straddled by Aricha 7. Just an outstanding cup. French Pressed with some half and half and one sugar. A nice day off from work today. Lots to do. Enjoy your day and your life to its fullest.

Expect the best

Some people make a practice of expecting the worst, in an effort to avoid being disappointed. Yet when you expect the worst you also focus on it and visualize it, thereby pushing yourself in a negative direction. A more positive and effective strategy is to expect the best. Then build upon that expectation with preparation and action. Expect the best, and visualize, in great detail, your own participation in it. That puts you into a powerful frame of mind, orients you toward success, and brings your expectations to life.

Expect the best, and you enable yourself to recognize and make full use of the opportunities coming your way. Expect the best, while preparing to handle whatever may come along, and you'll be ahead of the game from the very beginning. No, life will not always live up to your highest expectations. Yet when the disappointments do come, choose even then to expect the best eventual outcome, and you're much more likely to get it. Base your expectations on the best that you can imagine for every situation. More often than not, you'll go precisely where you expect to go.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

Peru FTO Cuzco - VG 2nd crack after 5 days rest. THE ABSOLUTE sweetest coffee I have ever tasted. Waxy mouth feel with a super sweet flavor and the cocoa bursts as the cup cools a little. This taste got to be a little much at end of the 2nd cup but for a single cup it was outstanding. I'll probably keep some of this around for a dessert in the evening. My wife never has black coffee...until now. She didn't even want any creamer.

Previous cups roasted to 2nd crack gaining momentum were dry and dusty tasting.

Going to give the new grinder it's first go round in the morning!

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

2006 Brazil Cup of Excellence winner Lot# 3 mixed with Ethiopian Worka. A very warm and satisfying SWEET cup that has a great finish. I'm thinking espresso shot on this would be.....wow. (Maybe a little too sweet, we'll see).

A great day lined up. Max out your Superbowl Sunday. I'm a huge Giants fan, its gonna be a great game. And we will win.
