Fantastic stuff. Tastes best with a lighter roast, somewhere between first and second crack. It is quite different from what I've been drinking lately. Almost a milk chocolately feel and a lighter body. Order a lb or two and give it a try.
You and DonJefe both doing the Rwanda thing... Starting to sound like a trend, it is. Is this the ERDM of coffee? The whole idea of chocolate taste in coffee is always appealing.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

A bag o' beans marked Bucks County from the grocery store; it is flat as a pancake and... never mind. Wifey and I were away from the house for a while - no roasting - she made a move. Not in my house, ever again. We shoulda had tea. Feh. Bad mojo. No offense to any Keystoners but this was some very saggy, lame-ass coffee. She had to make the move, but it shoulda been Eight O'Clock.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

I've been using Kona for about 20 years, a personal connection with my sister who lives in Kona in the middle of 20 acres of coffee (Kealakekua). Just used to it now, drinking it every day, 100% pure and smooth. Get 15 pounds a couple of times a year. I generally use dark roast, sometimes peaberry.

Rwandan is turning out to be one of my favorites. If you haven't tried it, give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

I'm thinking Rwanda but roasting (individually, to active second crack) for espresso:

2 parts Mex. Chiapas
2 parts Guatamalan
1 part Brazil Cerrado

Finally got something good happening with this Brazil; it tasted like hopeless mud for a day or two after roasting. By third-fifth day it was OK. Six days post roast my wife told me I must have put chocolate syrup in her cappuccino (I didn't). I've never had coffee take seven days to peak, and peak so dramatically.

Wish I could pour you all a shot; this is some rich tasty stuff.

Re: Whats In Your Mill Today?

one part Bolivian Organic roasted to just in the second crack, and one part Guatamalan coban at City +

Oh yea... I never did introduce myself in this part.
I love home roasted coffee, I have been at it a couple of years I guess. I got started from a friend who talked me into it and through it.

I started with a FR8, and most receintly I have been roasting with the IR2.

Serrano at City
and bolivian Organic at second crack.

1st crack?! I don't think I've ever tried just roasting to 1st crack before, might have to give it a go. The Ethiopian sounds interesting though!!!

When I brew this blend... I use a French Press, or I do it up as an Expresso/Latte

Whats Disel?
Diselfitter is a name I had chosen when I first started posting. I really couldn't think of a cool name, But I had heard this Joke shortly before I signed on to the Cigar BB, the Punch line was stuck in my head at that time...
The Punch Line is Diselfitter.
So there ya go.
As I started posting and made friends....The name stuck.. I did try to change it, but it was too confusing for many... So.. whether it is a cool name or Lame...I am stuck with it
LOL
