Coffee review: Fair Trade Panama "Gran De Val"

Ok, Not sure exactly how to do a proper coffee review, but here goes my best shot:

I picked up 250g of these beans at the local coffee roaster this morning. They were roasted approx. 2.5 hours before I bought them.

Initial appearance: Very Dark brown, the beans were all an even color. Fairly oily, with a light sheen. They had a nutty aroma, not overpowering.

I ground several scoops and Used my French Press to brew it. I first poured a cup black to taste the coffee flavor before adding a little cream and milk, the way I normally drink my coffee.

Flavor(Based on the black coffee): Nutty, with some "earthiness". a light lingering aftertaste. A little lighter bodied than I would have expected from the appearance of the beans.

It was a good cup-would make a good mid-day coffee, or for a little extra kick in the morning.
