chemex pourover

How many use this? Is the top portion large enough to pour a whole pot of hot water in? Right now I am doing pourover with my drip machine but I have to pour, wait, pour, wait, etc, and I end up spilling some water all over the counter.

Also, are the chemex filters really better than other types?

Not that big but if you have to wait long-long then try a coarser grind.

I love my BIG Chemex and use it when wanting a pure clean nearly perfect cup, normally after a dinner with guests over. The aren't the quickest or easiest things as you have to boil the water and then pour it in stages.

My daily maker is the Technivorm KTBS, with the Chemex as the "special" coffee and occasion brewer.

Yes, you should use the Chemex filters as nothing else really fits and works in that funnel.
