We'll leave this post here for now, but I definitely think you should introduce yourself and post any future links to your own site in the retailers section.

    Coffee blogs / RSS feeds

I have compiled the following list of blogs and/or RSS feeds for you coffee/tech geeks out there like I am. Please note, blogs are exactly that...blogs. People are free to post whatever they wish on them and I am in no way connected to these blogs nor do I endorse them. Read at your own risk.

I have tried to stay away from the extremely local-focused ones as they are well, local to very few people here. If they were informative AND kept up recently (some were still up but haven't been updated in years) I bookmarked them.

I love pure Kona coffee. I never drink the watered down blends that only put 10 percent Kona in the mix. Pure Kona coffee is grown exclusively in Hawaii and I get mine online at https://konaluna.com where you can also find out more about the Kona coffee growing and harvesting process. It is rich, robust and truly delicious.

Don't know if anyone has already posted this, but I'm really curious about these guys: Mystic Monk Coffee

Anyone had their coffee? The monks in Belgium make amazing beer, so maybe these guys do good coffee? I think my logic is sound.

While I haven't tried their coffee I think there are some fundemental superficial problems here.

    1. Coffee is a world market; monks get the same beans everyone else does.
    2. Non-monk coffee specialists, who probably dedicate more time to exploration of specialty beans than they do to exercising a fulltime expression of all glory to God, probably get the best estate beans and exceptional micro-lots. No takedown on a life dedicated to prayer and service but it does use a lot of time that others might spend beating the bush in Mexico, Sumatra, Costa Rica and Ethiopia looking for the good stuff.
    3. Being a monk does not mean you know how to roast a bean more correctly than a non-monk. I know some VERY sacriligious heathen who are excellent craft-roasters and I know a very fine rabbi who couldn't tell a good cup of coffee from a stale bagel.
    4. Monks are often centered on rejection of worldly pleasures. This does not bode well, in the main, for coffee-roasting monks. I can't take anything away from some of the bread baking, cheese-making, honey-gathering or beer- and brandy making monks but still - you have to imagine that monks, in the main, are not primarily focused on their morning coffee. Not that some aren't - just saying...
    5. If Belgian monks were roasting the coffee in Belgium and then you buy it in Alaska, it's going to be past prime if not stale.
    6. I figured from the web site that Carmelite monks roast the coffee in Colorado...

("Mystic Monk Coffee is coffee roasted by monk roasters, the Carmelite Monks. The Monks roast the coffee to perfection in the solitude of the Rocky Mountains. Mystic Monk Coffee supports building a Gothic monastery for the Carmelite Monks in Wyoming. Mystic Monk Coffee can be purchased as dark roast coffee, fare trade organic coffee, flavored coffee, decaffeinated coffee and in coffee blends. Enjoy the ease of buying coffee online at their site along with fast shipping. Enjoy! ")

... and from youtube that some Carmelites allow juggling (YouTube - Carmelites Vocational Video#)

How bad could coffee be from folks dedicated to chanting, worship and service AND who allow juggling? You need to try it and let us know how it stacks up. If you are Roman Catholic, this coffee is a gimmee.

For me, a blend of equal quanitites of coffee and milk along with tea spoon full of sugar really makes my day. Try coffee in this way out.
