Newb starter kit
Alright, I got $300 dollars (at this time, anyway) to spend for roasting, grinding and moka/aeropress/some-similiar-device equipment.
Q: What products do you experienced folks recommend to get the most bang for the buck, that will get me started down the path toward coffee nirvana? TIA, brothers. |

Re: Newb starter kit
Couple of different directions for you to go. For about $230 you can get a Fresh Roast roaster ($80) and a Maestro grinder ($150). If you want to spend a bit over $300 you can go with the Maestro and an iRoast roaster ($180). However, if you happen to have $1000 laying around and want to be generous you can buy me a Hot Top roaster..
. Either of the above 2 combinations will work fine for you. The Maestro is a burr grinder. You can buy an inexpensive whirly type grinder and spend $300 on a Behmor roaster. I highly recommend visiting here: Home Coffee Roasting Supplies - Sweet Maria's Tom is the proprietor and is almost a demigod in the coffee world. I buy all my beans from him. BTW I have the FreshRoast and it meets my needs.
