anyone use these coffee machines

Hello
Just scanned through the threads and didnt see anything, so I though I would ask.
1) Does anyone use a Keurig machine? I have used one for the last two years and have found it to be pretty good and dependable. I am the only one who drinks coffee who is permanently stationed in my residence, so I dont waste any by using a larger coffee maker. I use the green mountain, extra bold, double black diamond at the 7 ounce setting. I drink it black. The wife makes teas and cocoa with it.
Plus I put a towel under it for the 180 degree water to soak my face before I shave. I am a straight razor type of guy, and use shaving soap and badger brush.

2) My pride and joy is an francis franci x7 iespresso machine. Makes the darndest best cup of espresso with no fuss that I have ever tasted. And that includes time spent in the med. And in "fancy restaurants and coffee houses"

Just wondering if anyone uses these and what are their experiences with them.

Much regards Jerry

We have Keurig and While it's no pot of coffee of french press it has some pretty tasty brews. I currently like the Dark Magic and Donut Shop. The wifey like The season flavors and hazelnut. I wish they made them with a built in water filter tho. We have to use our Brita Pitcher to fill it. I notice some brews at the 12oz setting get watered down part of the time.

Thanks for responding. The Dark Magic you use is just one half step less dark then the double black diamond. I used dark magic for a while till the black diamond came out. You usually cant find the black diamond in the store and have to order it on line.
My refridgerator freezer, uses a pur water filter, and I use that to fill the keurig. It fills right from the door or I use the tap water which has a device to use pur filtered water, or straight tap.
Mine only has the 7.5 and 9.5 settings, and I only use the 7.5. I wish I had the one with a 4 or 5 ounce setting, so sometimes I just hit the power before it finishes the cycle.
Much regards Jerry

Re: anyone use these coffee machines

I have a regular french press, but never had the occasion to use it. I don't have much time in the morning. it's pretty much get up and go. The keurig is nice just to fill my travel mug for the ride to work. Less mess and less set up. Don't get me wrong i much rather have brewed joe but convience and the wifey out rank me.
