Their roasting and packaging plant is around the corner from work. I started buying coffees from them just about the time Martin Mayorga sold his cigar biz and started with coffee. Matt who is the Roastmaster/taster was in a story in one of the cigar mags,I'll see if I can find it if anyones interested. Matt also gave me the 10cent tour of place, talk about a great aroma whew! BTW they still had some Mayorga cigars stashed so Matt gifted me a stick along w/ my coffee purchase. A very informative visit to be sure...Dave

JR's had been giving away Mayorga. I got a bag and was not that impressed. Smelled really good during brewing but did taste outstanding. I press my coffee and I think the coffee may have been old.

I got a couple of pounds at JR last year and it was top drawer; fresh for sure. I could see stale coffee at JR but think the Mayorga boys have it right back at the blending/roasting room.

I used to go the KC, Mo all the time and smelled the downtown roaster at night. Some smell, a big coffee roaster.

J.R.s is the account that got their coffee off and running. If anybody comes to D.C. and wants to check out their place let me know and I'll see if I can set something up.(throw in a herf too!)...Dave

Got some with a cigar order once and enjoyed it.

Sounds like a cool visit.
