How are you liking the Rocky/Sylvia combo. I am considering the Rocky despite the possibility of Mr. Moo calling me a Cheap Bastard for not springing for a Mazzer or Macap
Thanks!

The Rocky is great; I have been using it everyday for the last several years and it's been tip-top. The only issue is that on rare occasions, very oily beans have trouble dropping down the chute towards the burrs (a spoon is then used to shove them down while the grinder is stopped. Supposedly, removing the safety guard above the chute solves this, but I haven't bothered). Once in a while, I will take it apart and clean the innards, though it's been close to a year since I've done it. Replacement burrs are available also. Got it from www.wholelattelove.com.

And the Silvia is great also...

Thanks for the welcome Moo! OCD indeed...

Just wanted to say hi to everyone on this side of the forum. I've been on the fence for far too long when it comes to purchasing a roaster. Case in point my Mother picked me up many pounds of green beans for X-mas of 06.....

Zack has been on me for some time now to take the plunge. I read a review on here a few days ago about this roaster and figured it sounded like a good roaster for the newbie (such as I am) and was sub $100. Plunge away.

Looking forward to living, laughing, and learning with the rest of you all.

If you don't like coffee I am obliged to warn you this will be a waste of time. Let us know how the first roast goes and, as always, welcome to the fraternity of people with a few loose screws in their grinders.

Whine whine whine. He has been here a few hours talking about coffee......you have been here for years waiting for you box to arrive. Ever get that title to the ocean-front property in AZ?? I heard it is bringing quite a pretty penny in the market now-a-days.

Here's a make-up gift.

Toughen up. It's MY thread, you whinger. Besides, according to your standards Stog'one "GOT" a roaster so he is not an "unroaster" at all. He's in. He "got" one. He has ARRIVED!

Lets all give it up for Stogie Kanobie One!! Woot!! WOOT!!!

Awwww. Don't give up hope Ev's. Hope springs eternal, right fellers?

All you need to do is to "got" you a roaster and you're right back on top, buddy. Head of the class! Leading the pack!!

Once you got one I'll let you in on the secret handshake, too. If it's OK with K'rat, anyhow. He is in charge of the secret handshake.
