Mazzer Nation

The Root family has now joined the Mazzer Nation.

After a brief affair with a Baratza Solis Virtuoso that lasted all of 5 minutes (death by 8 O'clock), i can say waste not on lesser grinders and you will not want more.
Cheap is not a word that should ever be said about a Mazzer, one look and you know this is A # 1 quality. This thing is a beast, a very nice one at that..

Thanks be to Dan for the endorsement.

Bump.

Lets chat up the new Mazzer owner here, people. I mean, it's like having the Washington Monument moved into your very own kitchen.

And James was the first here to claim (and prove) blueberry hints from homeroasted mokapot coffee.

So, while you have been sleeping, he has been up all night trying to zero the sucker in, stepless and infinite as it is.

The man deserves a little encouragement, no matter how insincere it might be coming from the Macap owner/operators.

Re: Mazzer Nation

I'm curious about the vendors who are selling non-ETL mazzers for significantly less than ETL certified models.

Can I buy one of these and have piece of mind that I'm not going to burn my house down??

Sorry to disapoint you all but sedated on pain meds as i was, i didn't get to play much last night with the mini. This morning was different story though, i can't say i've tried to find the zero point yet as the brew for today was french press (oh yes god, thank you for the clean and clear tasting cup this morning) but i will find it in time.

I really like the lawyer speak Instruction manual and all of the DO NOT REMOVE bolts and guards. Only by skilled techncial personal (i.e. someone who can put it back together when they're done with it.) will you service this machine.

And everytime i come into the kitchen, i now have to say "damm, now that's a grinder" or whatever it sounds like when you have mouthful of gauze pads !! It makes the rest of my kitchen seem plain.

If my Apt burns down, I'll let you know.

In all of my research i never did come across anything wrong with this set up so we will see.
