Visited Sweet Maria's Today

I decided to order a iRoast 2 and some beans from Sweet Maria's and dive into this home roasting deal. When emailing Maria for info, I discovered they were 20-30 min. away from my house. So I decided to drive to Oakland, pick-up my order and pay them a visit.



The gentleman that handled my order was really nice and knowledgable. I mentioned CS to him and he did recognize us as "guys who buy stuff from them a lot" . I also mentioned that I was a 20+ year customer of Peets Coffee; he grinned and said "you're gonna have a lot of fun". All of the employees were very busy cranking out orders. On my way out, I gave Maria my thanks for her emails to me regarding home roasters.

iRoast 2, a 4lb Sampler of eight 1/2lb bags, 2 lbs of Kenya, and some cotton bags.

Now to try and roast a batch.
