Requiem for a Dream
Somebody already said Ameile, so in addion to that Delicatessen ***AMAZING*** Death Machine (Don't even know if this counts as a cult movie, but I love it, and everyone should see it!) Dobermann La Haine (Again, is it a cult film?) ábrase los ojos (open your eyes.. what Vanilla Sky was based on, all in Spanish, also starring Penelope Cruz) Brain Dead Bad Taste Meet The Feebles Fritz The Cat I'll stop now, cos I don't know how many of these really count as cult films...

Re: Cult Classics
What defines a cult film? The Coen Bros. cant really be considered cult... can they? I do suggest Lebowski but im gonna try and suggest movies that have flown under the radar but have a following of hardcore fans.
Metropolis: Made in Germany in 1927, silent B&W. Dont let this impede from wanting to rent/but this movie. The first sci-fi movie, maybe the best! This movie is not only respected in film circles but also design, fine art, architecture and others dealing with asthetic are fans of this film. This movie is a visionary materpiece. Lasr Year at Marienbad: French, 1961. This movie is a classic but lesser known film of the French New Wave genre. To look at it now, it may seem that alot of the shots are cliche, but this is the original. Maybe now some of the Calvin Klein commercials may make a bit more sense. Blue Velvet: One of David Lynch's finest works! The funnest, scariest movie ever. The situations are uncomfortable, the people are scary the pacing is just fantastic! Now with the realese of the final installment of the Star Wars saga, here is a brief breakdown of the influences that helped create these films. Starting and ending with the work of Akira Kurosawa. The Hidden Fortress Sanjuro/Yojimbo
