Craig Signs $60 Million Bond Deal!

From IMDB:

Quote:
Actor Daniel Craig has signed a $60 million deal to star in the next four James Bond films. The blond 39-year-old is currently filming Bond 22 - his second outing as secret agent 007 following the success of 2006's Casino Royale - and movie executives have reportedly signed him up for another three films, tying him to the franchise for the next 10 years. A source says, "To date Daniel has been quite cautious over saying how many films he'd be starring in. It was presumed he'd probably do a couple more but the word is the new deal ensures he'll do at least another four across the next decade." Craig's predecessor, Pierce Brosnan, starred in four Bond movies - but the longest-serving 007 star remains Sir Roger Moore, who played the iconic role in seven films between 1973 and 1985.
I'm really excited about this. I think Daniel Craig is an awesome Bond. He's 10x better than Pierce Brosnon. He's the best Bond since Connery, if you ask me. I can't wait for the next installment of the series.

That is good news. He great in the role. It was a nice change from Brosnan. Not that Brosnan's films were bad, I just like the darker and more realistic feel they are taking.

Craig is good ... but still second to Sean Connery.

Brosnan was not a convincing tough guy. Daniel Craig is easily the best Bond since Connery. Casino Royale revitalized a tired franchise and dragged it into the 21st century.

Sean Connery could not carry Daniel Craig's martini glass! Yeah, I said it. In fact Daniel Craig may even be able to pimp slap Chuck Norris!

No one will ever be as good as Connery.

Blasphemy! On both parts. If Chuck Norris winked at Daniel Craig he would be in a coma for a month.

Dalton sucked, Brosnan didn't have it, and Moore was the Benny Hill of Bonds. I like Craig but agree that Connery was the best.

Don't forget about George Lazenby. He was a great bond with just the right amount of humor to the role.

The best thing about Dan is that they are bringing back the espionage and getting rid of the gadgets.

But I still miss the good ole Connery A$$ slap. Sorry ladies

Re: Craig Signs $60 Million Bond Deal!

This is good news. I think Craig played the roll very well. I think the franchise went too witty. IMO, Bond was never truly believable when Bronsnon was playing the roll. Craig brought an intensity that made me believe that 007 was a true badass with the ability to crack a line when needed.

Re: Craig Signs $60 Million Bond Deal!

Daniel Craig is the closest thing to what Ian Fleming had originally intended for James Bond...an ass who gets laid and kills with no real remorse...I think Daniel Craig has the potential to be the best Bond to date...its too early to tell...and really, Dalton could have been a good Bond, he was just given the two worst scripts in the franchise history....

Re: Craig Signs $60 Million Bond Deal!

Dalton was the closest to the 'book Bond' in attitude and looks.

Connery was the best movie Bond, so far.

IMO Craig shows the potential to surpass both.
