Anyone else trying to find a Wii?

Currently Wiis can be found on Ebay for @ $150.00 over retail. This is for the basic unit with one controller and the 5 sports disc. Thats between $399-$429
plus shipping.

I picked one up a while back at Best Buy. Keep your eye on their ads. If you see them advertised, they are required to have a minimum amount (I think 20).

I saw them in the ad and showed up about an hour before they opened. They handed out tickets to the people outside so there wasn't a mad rush once the doors opened. No ticket = no Wii.

Since I picked mine up, I think I've seen maybe 2 or 3 in stores just sitting on shelves. Anytime I'm going through Target or Walmart, I usually check to see if any are in stock.

If I see anything locally (Connecticut), I'll definitely pick it up and post it here. I really hate the flea-bay price wars, so it definitely wouldn't end up on there for a profit.

I have heard that Best Buy will be advertising them this Sunday, so my plan is to go there bright and early to get a good spot in line. With any luck, I will get one this time!

My parents got one for my sister at Sam's Club the day after thanksgiving. They did the ticket thing too, but somehow my dad ended up with 2tickets or something, so he was going to buy 2 and sell one, but they lady in charge of handing out the Wiis knew he already got so so she wouldn't let him get another. I have seen them around Atlanta every now and then. You just need to be at the right place at the right time when the shipment comes in. The closer it get to Christmas, the harder I think they are going to get.

I don't understand why people wait till Black Friday to decide and buy a system...I walk into Best Buy every month before December and they have at least 15 systems just sitting there. Any system too, XBOX, PS3, Wii...it's just ridiculous to wait. Would you rather get a $100 off something and have a slim chance in getting one in the holiday rush or buy the system in November for retail price and see your kids smiling on Christmas day?

The way I've found, and it works consistently so far, is to get up early Sunday morning and get to Target before they open. It seems they do all their stocking on Saturday night, which means Sunday morning is the best time to be heading into there to get one. Don't be surprised if you see other people doing the same thing as well... but if you really want one, that's the way I've found that works the most consistently and reliably.
