The ones in bold are the only ones I like. Frankly, I am glad he will not be making any more crappy movies with bad overacting. Which pretty much describes the last 10 years of his career.
Not a huge Cage fan myself but I did think "Leaving Las Vegas" was a good movie.

My name is JMAC and I am a Nicholas Cage fan.

I forgot about "8 mm", that was one awesome film.

Re: Nicholas Cage to quit acting.

I think Cage did a great job with the double role in Adaptation, a very underrated and unique film. Raising Arizona, Bringing Out the Dead, and Gone in 60 (strictly for the Shelby chase scene) are other good movies, IMO.

In order to quit something, don't you have to actually start????

Re: Nicholas Cage to quit acting.

IMO he's a bad actor who's been handed some good roles in good movies. if it weren't for his "connections" i don't think he ever would've got a job. maybe someone more deserving will get those roles now.

Awesomely Disturbing. I went to that movie not knowing what it was about. I have forever been scarred. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

For those of you looking for a laugh, I bring you the "Best" Scenes from the Wicker Man:

//Have never seen the Wicker Man remake and I don't know why they tried to remake a movie like that in the first place!

I suppose it was her fave because ya'll made out the entire time? You should rent that and watch it on your next anniversary, Jason. Heck, you can probably buy it for cheaper than you can rent it.

I hope he reconsiders, he's an awesome actor. I wanted their to be a National Treasure III.

I met him at the Ducati shop in Post Falls, Idaho two years ago. He is also a Duc fan and was picking up a new bike. He was VERY gracious in complementing my new, absolutely stock Monster. Coming from a guy who has the cream of the crop of race Duc's I thought that was pretty big of him.

We also talked about Sean Connery and making "The Rock". I had the good fortune to speak with Connery several times back in 1988 (?) When they filmed some scenes from "The Untouchables" here in Montana. He was a real Gentleman, a hell of an Actor and the consumate professional. But...he IS a bit or a curmudgeon and CAN be tough to deal with.

Cage REALLY laughed when I brought up Connery. We had a nice talk and away we both went. He was very friendly and seemed to give a shit when he talked to a fan. he looked me in the eye the entire conversation as though he REALLY cared about what I was talking about. I've been around a dozen or more celebrities over the years. The vast majoity could care less about anyone but themselves. Cage was very personable and friendly.

Posters here may not like his acting but at least the guy is a Gentleman and down to earth.

ah, you beat me to the punch! it begins and ends with...

STEP AWAY FROM THE BIKE!

seriously though - he used to take on challenges like leaving las vegas, raising arizona, vampire's kiss and you might laugh, but i thought the way he played his character in peggy sue got married, was really well done. his decision to (mostly) take on big blockbusters has really tarnished his rep, i think. he's become so hamfisted in nearly everything he does that he's almost painful to watch. and the way he talks is even weird now...
