Hmm I am not buying it yet, but i guess this is still up for debate. He could be the next George Lazenby.

Evertbody since Sean Connery has been the next George Lazenby. Noone can say "Bond, James Bond" like Connery. The thing about this new Bond movey that is potentially good is that they are finally going to get away the gadgets and get back to the original Ian Fleming stories. The Fleming stroies were wonderful. They were clever without being gimicky. Let's hope.

He doesn't look very "Bond-ish".

I heard they're turning Bond PC so we'll never see him smoke again. Now that sucks.

Yeah I'm not so sure about the new Bond either, but then again the Bond movies have been WAY over the top for many years now and I have not been too big of a fan!

Re: the new james bond

I think everyone is right about the writing, that is what will really make the movie and the character. However I thought Peirce Brosnon was pretty good. For some reason I never really got into Roger Moore, he seemed to delicate for Bond, while Sean Connery had the mix of braun and brains as a character, not sure how he is in person, but he played it well.

That would be sick. The motivation to get Bond to the health spa in Thunderball was his bad habits. Sean Connery's Bond without cigarette hanging out of his mouth would be like Sherlock Holmes without his pipe or Eastwood's Man with No Name without his Cheroot. The Ian Fleming books were well written and reflected their times. To update them to the present and make them PC is sacreligious.

Saw Daniel Craig in Layer Cake. Hell of a good performance.
Didn't like the ending, but then again, didn't totally dislike it either.

He got good bond qualities. Sophisticated, sexy, steely cool, and he's British (LOL). I think he'd make a good bond.

Get rid of the girly dreads. Is that a british thing? Does he have hardware on his navel as well? Lord.

Yeah Drudge put up a pic and it looked like he had those little dreadlocks blonds wear sometimes. Mostly I see girls wearing them but the British are terminally hip so I guess it jumped genders over there. No big deal. He looks like a scruffy character when you google the name so it's probably a great choice. We'll soon see, huh.

It's one of the hardest gigs in the business, Connery and Moore really killed it for anyone else. I'm for giving him a chance. We'll see.

Quick Bond trivia.... can anyone tell me why bond shakes his martinis, instead of stirs them?
