Who's Harry Potter?

I'm definitely going to see both Narnia and Walk The Line. By definitely, I mean that I might just rent them. I hate seeing movies in the theatre anymore 'cause there's always either a crying baby, a whining kid or noisy teenagers.

I have read all the Harry Potter books so far. Not going yet to see it but will soon the book was great. Too bad Richard Harris passed away before all the movies could be made. And for any not reading the book wait till the next movies when a main character dies. I won't give this away tho. But what a surprise it will be for those not reading the books.

Or worse yet idiots of all ages that think taking a cell phone call in the theater and having a conversation is OK. I have had words with people several times over this, and one time this guy told me if I didn't like it I could meet him outside. So I went and got the manager and they booted him. I told him that if he would wait till the movie was over I would meet him outside. The bigmouth of course was nowhere to be seen in the parking lot.

I am seeing it with the wife tomorrow around noon; on Sundays at noon, theater near my house is relatively deserted even for movies that are popular like this. But since this is Harry Potter, we may see 30-50 people in the theater at noon Sunday but that's OK, the threaters hold hundreds.

My step-daughter couldn't find anyone to go to the previous movie for the midnight show, so I went with her. I saw about 30% of the movie and the inside of my eyelids for the rest. I am a hard nose science fiction and to a lesser exteant fantasy fan but I just can't seem to get into it. Must be an age thing.

Umm.. wouldn't you and your wife have to sit in different seats anyway? Just me being a smartass... I thought it was a great movie.. it was my favorite of the first 4 books (the last 2 fall into a separate category for me), so the movie was a slight let down (but they all are, compared to the book).. I'd heard that they were originally planning to cut it into 2, 2.5 hour movies and release them a few months apart (like the last 2 Matrices <-- haha, nerd joke), to include all the pertinent stuff from the book (they had to cut out too much, IMHO). Warner Brothers vetoed that idea, then limited them to 2.5 hours instead of the 3 that they aimed for. I think WB helped kill the movie by placing so many restrictions on them... but I'm a huge HP fan, so nothing will ever live up to the books for me...

Douglas Adams is the freaking man... I can't count the number of times I've read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy .. the best 5 book trilogy ever! The movie was a giant disappointment for me... it was decent.. but didn't hold a candle to the books...
