very sad news indeed...
the man is a legend and a staple in the comic world.
very happy i seen him last time he did the count basi theatre in red bank new jersey....it was an amazing show.
one of my favorite thing's about carlin is he was always current with his material. he went through the 60's, 70's, 80's ,90's and 2,000's and his act was always up to date. he never fell back....
he will be pissed.

Probably my all-time favorite comedian, despite his descent into nastiness and bitterness toward the end.

I loved his routine on the triteness of some societal opposition to violent and sexual TV and movie programming. Some folks would rather have their children see people making love on the screen than killing each other, so Carlin took it another step and suggested replacing the work "KILL" with the word "F***."

MENACING WESTERN OUTLAW: "All right Sheriff, we're gonna f*** ya now. But we're gonna f*** ya slooooow...."

RIP George(Our Hippy Dippy Weatherman), you will be missed. Saw the man back in the mid-70's(his prime) at the Circle Star Theater in Redwood City. Definitely a counter-culture icon!
