I saw the movie last night and it was FANTASTIC!! Ledger was amazing!! The only think I do not like is the way that Christian Bale speaks as Batman...he sounds like a 96 year old woman with emphysema. Other than that...this is one of my new favs!

You prefer George Clooney?

Bale does a fine job. I like his rendition of Batman best of all.

Bale gets my vote as the greatest of all time.

To the other members comment about his voice sounding too forced, it is forced - but it's convincing, I'll give you my phone number and you can call me and give me your Batman voice and we can compare yours and Bale's, see which sounds forced.

Im just saying if you are getting paid millions to do batman put as much into it as ledger did with the joker.....Ledger even had the jokers lip smack and tongue movement down which was amazing

I think he did. Bale's version of Batman was far better than Keaton, Kilmer, or Clooney. Batman isn't exactly the same character as the Joker, no nervous twitches, no lip smacking, no laughing. Just real down to earth, dark, and angry. On top of that I think Bale really nailed the Bruce Wayne aspect of the role better as well. He plays the part of a billionaire playboy very well.

if you want a more light hearted batman, go watch the old Adam West stuff

I will say Bale plays a better bruce wayne than the other guys but I liked keaton and even kilmer better in the batt suit...Clooney was a joke

It should be a lot easier to play batman than it is the joker and Bale didnt perform anywhere close as ledger IMO

The characters are completely different. Bale did a great Job, struggling with his feelings for Rachel, hope and loss with Harvey Dent, self sacrifice for the sake of the city. Bale's version of Batman is easily the most deep portrayed to date. Bale is really the first one to truly make Bruce Wayne and Batman two completely different people. Keaton was cool, but he was no where near as good. Not as deep, not as cool, not as dark, not as emotional. Kilmer and Clooney were both jokes.

Ledger stole the show, but his great performance shouldn't underscore the excellent job the rest of the cast put out. I thought just about everyone did an excellent job (except for that new rachel).
