That is what makes Gotham City so much fun. Batman is a comic book that is not about just the good guy, it really puts a lot into the bad guys. People enjoy that bad characters as much as the the bat, sometimes more. When I have carried conversations with those that watched the Adam west series to the Tim Burton take and the cartoons, they all know who played the villains. They would laugh about the outrageous Joker or the sexy Catwomen. The rhymes of the Riddler to the gawking of the Penguin.

Maybe that is what is missing. The villains are not given their just love, hell I have no idea who played the Scarecrow in Batman Begins, I even forgot that Liam Neeson was in the movie also. I guess Ledger will at least be the first villain to be remembered in this new series.

I think it was the best of the series so far. I did get some serious movie butt watching this though.

I would definitely watch it again and I will purchase it when it comes out.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Gary Oldman recently stated in an interview that "we'll have the Riddler" in the next Batman movie if Christopher Nolan chooses to return for a third installment.

Also, did anyone else think that when Alfred was describing the new Bat-suit "as being immune to dog attacks, but CATS were a different story" (wasn't exactly quoted like that but did mention that the suit might be vunerable to "cats") that it was a clue for CATWOMAN?

Also, Nolan was quoted as saying that if he does return for a third installment, that the Joker would be re-cast

Well I pity whomever is cast as the Joker because it will be impossible to be as well liked as this one even if they are better.

OK I buy this laid out this way.
