it is slated to be the most open-ended MMORPG EVER made.

Re: Good PC RPG Games

If MMO doesn't matter, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is, imo, one of, if not the best RPG ever. It's entirely open ended, with a rediculous ammount of optional content and story lines. The main quest is well written and compelling. Check it out.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is also a very good game. The game is aesthetically stunning, and the physics, gameplay and AI are outstanding. However, if your system is not up to snuff then you probably won't be able to play it anyway. Compared to Morrowind, Oblivion is missing something; the overall feel of the game just can't duplicate what Morrowind had.

If you are looking for MMO, get Diablo II and the expansion. It's a classic. And you can get yourself ready for Diablo III, which has been announced in January.

Knights of the Old Republic (somewhat of an RPG game).

You can purchase KOTOR for around $3.00 on *bay and Amazon.

Fallout and Fallout 2, IMHO hands down the best PC RPG's made in the last ten years or so. Just make sure they are patched, and look into Killaps Fallout 2 restoration patch, it fixes aload of bugs.

Re: Good PC RPG Games

I played D1 for over 2 years, as a Dungeon crawl - outstanding. D2 just didn't grab me, never could get into it. The downside to D1 was of course the cheating... Pissed me off to the point that I ended up getting pretty good at cheating. Did a lot of "bounty Hunting" on the cheaters who picked on the noobs (most could barely beat the noobs with the cheats). If your gonna cheat, at least be good at it.
