Maybe an introduction of a new villain is in order?
If done right the Riddler can have plenty of character depth. The old 60s spandex version won't work, but the early 90s version would fit this series well. Riddler became a follower of the occult and abducted newborn babies from hospitals in Gotham and sacrificed them, leaving riddles for Batman to find. That version is workable. As long as it's not Jim Carrey

I have the complete run. Back broken, Azrael takes over the mantle, Dick Grayson takes the mantle over, then Bruce Wayne returns. Good series, but would make a horrible film.

Robin sucks.
When they killed Jason Todd, a new Robin should never have been created. Batman is better off alone.

I'd love to see the Riddler as the next villian.

On top of that I wouldn't mind seeing Jim Carrey give the role another shot. He has been doing some serious stuff lately and seeing him as a dark Riddler would be awesome.

I'll theorize on this a second, no inside information. I think they could bring in a non traditional Robin. Not one who works with Batman or for him but maybe one Batman knows about and doesn't stop so it kind of implies he supported it.

What if it was like the false batman in the begining of the movie? A guy in ski mask and hockey pads. And Batman encounters him, and lets him go. Or gives him a stack of those little batarangs or something.

That works.

I'd take my eyes out with a spork thats rusting before I'd watch Jim Carrey in another superhero movie.

In the hands of Nolan I believe that Penguin would be very creepy....

Lets just wait and see what happens. I agree with this:
"Right now, Warner Bros. is busy making party hats out of $1000 bills, counting all the silly, silly, silly DARK KNIGHT money they’re making, and that’s it."
