Thanks a bunch for the info, Darrell! I just hope they don't recast Ledger...I know they did it with Katie Holmes, but just look at how that came out. Anyways; Riddler's got potential, and a lot of it. Now we shall see how much they mannage to exploit.

While I like Gary Oldman's work I think Hugo Weaving would make for an excellent Riddler.

I heard Johnny Depp was being considered for the role of the Joker. I think he would be awesome!

Johnny Depp is being considered for the role of the Riddler and I think he would do a fine job however I'm not too stoked about the Riddler as a villain in and of itself. He doesn't really have much depth IMO.

Maybe an introduction of a new villain is in order?

I think they should just make this a Trilogy and kill batman at the end. Introduce Bane, and have him kill Batman like he does in the Dark Knight comics. That would be a great end to a very dark series of movies.

I'm pretty sure that Bane only broke Batman's back and didn't kill him. It has been a while since I read the DK series but I know I have Knightfall somewhere that has that storyline.

He broke his back leaving Bruce Wayne paralized. Bruce then passes on the legacy to someone else and it all goes down hill from there. But, they might as well just have him die and be done with the series.

Hmmm.

I may have read this wrong but I don't think anyone really confirmed anything there.

I do business with WB and the scuttle butt around the lot is DC won't sign off on Bane because who in the hell wants to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. The odds on favorites appear to be a Catwoman story or a Robin based story. Both of those threads have the right kind of interplay and dynamic tension to carry the traditional of "realness" that has been the hallmark of the first two movies.

I really like the Riddler. It will be a good addition to the Batman series.
