Video games my wife would like?

I used to play a lot of video games.

Then I got married.

It's been a few years now and I'm starting to miss it, especially since my wife's idea of "compromise" when we're relaxing on the couch is to watch DVR'd episodes of House Hunters, which she adores and I can just barely tolerate.

The Xbox 360 sits pretty much unused most of the time. I came across this article about getting your gal into gaming, but I can't think of any relatively non-violent games that would offer a cooperative mode, rather than a competitive one (she and I get WAY too competitive even in Scrabble so co-op mode is definitely preferable). Any suggestions?

I know you said you have an Xbox, but I would suggest getting a Wii. We have one and my whole family plays it.

My wife and I enjoy a few different games, but she also likes the shooting ones so maybe my recommendos wouldn't fit.

I see Woodbridge....I used to live on Quantico and Fredericksburg? How's the old 'Hood'bridge?

My wife and I do the Wii boxing to determine who has to do the dishes!

You guys are spot on with the Wii recommendations I'm sure, but there's nothing that would turn my wife OFF to gaming more than me spending a couple hundred bucks on it...

Rock Band or Guitar Hero II

or many of the new & legacy games available for download from Xbox LIve.

Agree here, my wife can kick my butt at GHII and II. Can't handle me in CoD4 or Halo # though

My wife loves Mario Kart (any of the many versions) and also F-Zero (GameCube)
She'll also play WheelOfFortune and Jeopardy

Honestly...I've never seen a woman turn away from The Sims....the whole idea of total control totally works for them.

I myself love Call of Duty 4, but it is a shooter and she probably wouldn't like it based on what you said.

I would suggest getting a Wii so you can play bowling. It is a very fun 2 player game. Also, she can do fitness on it.
