Well I set the DVR to catch it - simply cause Anna is in it. Now I normally like most of the HBO series - Six Feet Under and etc - but I dunno about this one. Seemed kinda stupid and not the writing style I would expect out of HBO. Anyway - I fell asleep watching it - and haven't finished it yet. I'll finish it and see if it gets any better.

Well I finished watching it. Seems I fell asleep during the tie me up and ride me scene (guess she didn't make an impression on me). Anyway - I've got the DVR set to record so I'll watch the next one as it did get somewhat interesting there at the end.

I think it's the pretext of people just being so matter of fact of having a vampire sitting at the next table without someone trying to run a stake through them or something that I find odd.

What's with all these shows deciding to have characters with corny accents? This is why I can't watch True Blood or The Closer

Not as entertained after epsiode #2. The charming, gentlemanly vampire courting the wide eyed, pensive waitress is wearing a little thin already. Let's get to some blood sucking!

This show seems more focused on tight bodies in tight clothes than the interesting parts of vampire mythology that I thought HBO would look into. Yet I keep watching...

Just saw epsiode 1 on DVR tonight. I'm glad I just found out its the same director as Six Feet Under; That would've given me an "I must like it" approach before watching. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. I really enjoy stories dealing with telepathy/extrasensory perceptions, so I feel this will distinguish TB from other vampire flicks. I'm watching episode 2 tomorrow.

I'm enjoying True Blood, but after the abrupt cancellations of Deadwood and Carnivale I'm hesitant to get too involved in any HBO series. They have a tendency to cancel shows and leave us hanging.

I am quickly becoming disenchanted with this show, every episode is basically the same:

A couple gratuitous sex scenes.

A couple gratuitous shock/startle/gore scenes.

...and 45 minutes of Sookie struggling with the dilemma, "Should I date the Vampire? I am scared, but he seems so nice....well, other than that eating humans thing...."

If they don't pick or shake it up soon, I am gonna have to take this one off the season pass.
