Re: True Blood?

I have episode 3 tivo-d and will watch is before Sunday

I have liked the first 2 shows, and am still trying to wrap my mind around "vampires coming out of the coffin" to be socially accepted. They do seem to treat it in a non-nonchalant way, but maybe that is the PC way to treat the vampire minority. I had hoped for more blood and necks

btw I agree with Darrell---Deadwood was really good. It's been fun to see all the actors in other stuff since then.

I haven't cancelled it yet, I am just not nearly as excited about it as I was 2 weeks ago.

On a similar note, I am trying to decider whether or not to date this schizophrenic girl I met....I mean she is a really good person, aside from all the dual evil personalities.

Re: True Blood?

Episode 3 didn't do much for me, but I guess it's still better than alot of stuff on tv.

Re: True Blood?

Watched episode 3 last night. It still has my interest but not as much as before.

Re: True Blood?

I really like this show. My wife came into the room about 5 minutes into the 2nd episode and said at the end "this was kinda odd, but I like it" and watched the 1st then the 3rd. Were both hooked on it. Hopefully this one lasts longer than John from Cincinnati.

I'm hooked and will be disappointed if they cancel this one half way through.

Re: True Blood?

Saw #4 Sunday night. I thought it was a little better, but IMO they are pushing this political correctness a little hard and it detracts from what should be an interesting storyline. But we'll probably keep watching

Re: True Blood?

I have to say...I am really liking this. Can't put my finger on what it is, but I think it's generally just the slightly "offbeat" feeling of the show. I loved 6 ft under, which had the same quirks.

On another note, I am surprised to see all the love for John from Cincinatti...tried as I hard as I could to like it and still thought it was downright terrible.

Re: True Blood?

Really liking it. I rolled my eyes when I heard it was a vampire series. Suprisingly it is has my interest because of the different spin. Then there is Sookie.....Sookie Sookie Sookie! More short shorts please

Same producer and creator os "Six Feet Under".

I set the Season Pass....that gives me 4 shows I have on SP, the most I have ever had:

The Shield
Sons of Anarchy
Fringe
True Blood

I'm Watching ATM

Sons of Anarchy
Fringe
Dexter

Once Dexter is over I will cancel showtime and pick up HBO on demand so I can watch True Blood

I did catch the premiere and admit i want to watch the rest of the season
just cant afford both HBO and Showtime

and Dexter trumps everything

Six Feet under is on my rental List
