Maybe I need to pay her a visit.

I don't know, but it seems that's what they want you to think.
In one scene it shows Sam and the dog together....

Yeah, they are trying to throw you off. Sam is a shapeshifter and can change into many animal forms (actually any animal he has seen) with his favored form being that of a collie. This explains why he is seen with the dog, once he sees it he can change into it. He can control these changes except when the moon is full when he is "drawn" to changing.

BTW, it looks like the demons are starting ot surface too. Tara's mom asked her for help with the demon she has inside her. Maybe we will get to see a good old fashioned exorcism soon.

I hope the plot doesn't get this complicated

Re: True Blood?

Great thoughts, CBF. I thought Sam was some type of werewolf but figured he was changing into the dog instead. Looks like you have a lot of this already figured out...pretty cool ideas/thoughts.

After the episode last night I doubt if Sam is the dog...Sam and Bill don't hit it off at all and at one point during the episode the dog came up and sat down outside next to where Bill was standing guard...obviously the dog has taken a liking to Bill...

I didn't get the same impression from that scene....I felt it had an "OK, then I am gonna stay here too" feeling to it. But I could be wrong.

EDIT: But it looks like I am not. "True Blood" is based on the books "The Southern Vampire Mysteries". Here is some info, but be warned before you read it that there may be some spoilers in the link.

I still think he is the dog. In my eyes I saw the scene differently. Bill was standing guard outside, I think Sam wanted to play his part too on "his territory" so he came as the dog. He's obsessed with Sookie. I guess we'll see what happens and think ComicBookFreak is right. It will also be interesting to see what plays out between Sam and Tara now..

Edit: Lol well Icehog got to that first. Both were replying at the same time lol.

2nd Edit:

I saw one of the books online before. Didn't know it was a series of 8 books however. I will definitely check those out!

Re: True Blood?

I was wondering if anyone had read the books? How closely do they follow what is going on in the show?
