Got me thinking....

Joe's comment in the Kung Fu Hustle thread about the dancing got me thinking... about a film called 'The Hapiness of the Katakuris' This is a Takashi Miike directed (oddball) version of a film called 'Choyonghan kajok' (The Quiet Family). The premise of this film is that the father has failed in business, and moves to the countryside to run an inn with his family. Well... everything goes well, and the first guest turns up. And dies in strange circumstances. Things go down hill from that point... but the thing you have to remember is that this is a comedy film, and the dark, gritty subject is quite wonderfully juxtaposed by wonderfully camp showtunes with excellent coreography, and very visual humour. Anyone else here seen it?
