The Godfather-The Coppola Restoration (Blu-Ray)

Just got done watching "The Godfather" trilogy on blu-ray and just had to make a post. I'm not going to go into any details about the movies themselves, as anyone who has seen them can most likely quote from them and I am not one to give many details about a movie to someone who has not already seen it.

For those who have already seen the movies I most say this is the reason to own a Blu-Ray player. These movies look the best I have ever seen or heard them. The picture is flawless and the sound is absolutely first rate and far and above the way these movies have ever sounded. I picked up dialogue that I had never heard before.

For those who have never seen the films all I can say is what have you been waiting for. These are the movies that made the mold for the past 30+ years of gangster movies. Casino, Goodfellas, The Departed and even Scarface owe a debt to these movies. Even Tarentino owes some debt to these movies as they are dialogue driven.

So that is my 's when it comes to the new release on blu-ray of these movies. Do yourself a favor and watch them again in true high definition or enjoy them for the first time as the classics that they are. And yeah, I'm making you an offer you can't refuse!

Thanks for the info. I've heard good things about the HD version and I'm going to pick up a copy for sure even though I have the DVD.
