I was always fascinated with pencil and paper RPG's, subsequently I was also fascinated with women, I decided to take the road less traveled in the RPG world and go for the women.

LOL I'm with you. I actually really enjoyed some table top pencil and paper games even into to college but in general I hid that fact like a felony conviction. Definitely lowered your market value in the dating world.

Still I had a buddy who was brilliant at creating a sophisticated story and he gave you nothing. You really had to think creatively or you were re-rolling a character right quick. It was the only reason I kept playing after high school because it was more like improv theatre/storytelling in style than the hack and slash rule lawyering that so many of those games devolved into. He had very tight environments that really leant themselves to free exploration rather than the linear module style. It was a great time.

D&D gamer here. Haven't played a good adventure in a while. Nice to see some other gamers out there. As for Videogames, I like the RPG's but very seldom play videogames as I suck at them.

I was hooked on the Magic the Gathering card game too. Then it came out on the PS1 and got hooked on it as well. I wish I still had all my cards. I have been thinking about trying the computer version of Magic but not sure if it is any good. Anyone here ever played the computer version?

I played Magic in 1995 while on deployment. Didn't play much after that. Now I've got a little interest in it again but HOLY SHIT the price of those cards!!! Fuhget it - that would cut into my already strained smoking budget and we can't have that, now!

Re: Any RPG Fans out there?

Big WoW fan here.

Paper and pencil RPG: Rolemaster, hands down the best system I ever played.

I still managed to get a decent amount of quality tail even though I was a basement RPGer.

My hot live-in GF totally understands the WoW addiction too.

I was thinking about coming back to WOW. My wife understands the addiction and totally disagree's with me playing. But she would get over it. The last sever I played on was a PVP server but It's been so long I forget the name. My main server was Scarlet Crusade. What server are you on?

Just to be clear...
I write program in RPG (Report Program Generator). A language developed by IBM in the '60s sill used today on IBM i5 / iSeries / AS/400 hardware. It's the first thing I think of when I see RPG.

I love Role Playing Videogames. My favorite type. Nothing better than a long game with a good storyline.

RPG's are my first choice when it comes to video games. It's the leveling up that gets me hooked. I also like Fight Night 3, you get to build your boxer up from scratch. Another good one is the racing games where you win money and supe up your car. The best RPG's are the ones with the open world where you can do what ever you want.
