I laughed out loud and my wife just looked at me puzzled. I just told her that it's a Star Trek thing and she decided it was time to go to bed.

This remains my favorite show on television. David Kelley pushes the envelope in so many ways on so many different subjects and Shatner is just a riot.

I've been forgetting to write in stuff about this show lately, I haven't been missing it, just haven't been expressing my thoughts on here afterwards. But you know what else...neither have any of you guys haha.

I've liked the last couple episodes, I'll try to keep ontop of things for the next couple episodes.

Even though this thread has been around awhile, I just had to throw-in my...

Of course, the best part of each show is the ending scene. It always places me a relaxed state of mind. Watching two individuals converse about issues, sipping a good glass of scotch, possibly a single malt, and smoking a good cigar.

Speaking of that, does anyone have the inside on what cigars they smoke during the ending scene?

I didn't know it was coming back tonight. I saw it was on, and it made my night a lot better. Denny Crane is back. Time to smoke a cigar

Re: Boston Legal (formerly Boston Public)

Just a heads up...Boston Legal is now on at 10:00 on Wednesdays. It has moved to a new night. It is now on against a new South Park, but they re-air South Park at Midnight, Thursdays at 10:00 and again on Sunday night.

I hate when they move shows around like that. They are trying to push the Woman's Murder Club by showing it after Dancing With The Stars. I just hope they do not move it around too much. Each time they move a show, it can lose a little in the ratings, like it did when it moved to Tuesdays.

I have a vintage Habano Sancho Panza Corona from 2000 that I will be smoking during it tonight!!!

Re: Boston Legal (formerly Boston Public)

I'm not going to be able to watch it tonight. I have a CPR/AED class I have to go to for my job this summer.

At least I have DVR, so I can watch it when I get home. Such a great invention

Hail to Denny and Alan.

Up until last spring he smoked Davidoff, until John Sally (Best Damn Sports Show) gave him a box of Padron's. Now he smokes Padrons. I dont have anymore details than that and he keeps having me arrested when I climb his fence and try to ask him for the skinny.

Re: Boston Legal (formerly Boston Public)

Finally got a chance to watch the pre-election episode....while I truly love the show, I really disliked how political it became and the over-the-top heavy tilt in one particular direction.... Media has an incredible power over people and the message the show gave clearly was in favor of one side. I don't think this tactic was terribly fair and the creators of the show clearly were trying to get their message out and influence people. Not cool.

[Please do not turn this into a political discussion - I'm merely commenting on my take of that particular episode]

Re: Boston Legal (formerly Boston Public)

Great show, and I tend to agree with their political philosophy, but you're right, it has become too politicized. Every case now is a thinly disguised rant on a particular political viewpoint. It is still lots of fun to watch Shatner though. He just cracks me up.

Best show on television and I love the timely issues. I can't believe it has been cancelled by the network!

Right you are, that's not to say I don't appreicate the timely issues myself. My wife was just saying that last night as we were watching the abortion episode and just came out of Prop 8 not passing (again, no political discussion please).

And what, what, what??? CANCELLED????

Re: Boston Legal (formerly Boston Public)

Yep-this is advertised as the final season. And when Gerry was talking to the board about partnership he said something about the network didn't like him and that is why they cancelled the show.

It is the best written, best acted show on TV
