Sean Connery delivers a powerful performance in this fantastic vision of a future world divided into two societies. The Vortex is an isolated, heavily guarded, lush community of immortal scientists and intellectuals called the Eternals. Outside the Vortex lies a desolate world laid to waste by war and pollution, peopled by the Brutals, primitive savages and killers who worship a fearsome god, Zardoz. But one rebellious Brutal (Sean Connery) is determined to survive on his own terms, which could threaten the balance of civilization...and possibly destroy it. Co-starring Charlotte Rampling, Zardoz is an entertaining adventure praised for its special effects and imaginative vision.

A sequel to Death Race 2000

It's the year 3000, and the Great Neutron Wars have reduced the Earth to a landscape of desert wastelands and isolated city-states. When the evil Lord Zirpola (David McLean) kidnaps Kaz Oshay (David Carradine) and forces him to play his twisted gladiatorial game Deathsport, Oshay must use all of his fighting skills to survive the contest and stop the wicked Zirpola. This sci-fi thriller from Allan Arkush also features B movie vixen Claudia Jennings.

wow it hurts to admit this but i have seen these both and say everyone should see them also.

Squid® has also seen both and liked them for various reasons. My most recent Obscure Film was a complete classic... "Plan 9 From Outer Space". I have a cardboard cutout of the theater seats and robot heads from MST3K that I tape to the TV when watching such stuff so I can make witty comments. Chases Mrs Squid® right out of the room!
