Marisa Tomei is hot. I just needed to go on and say that.

With Ledger, I think he did a great job - even knowing that it was him playing The Joker it was hard to picture it as him. You could see the deranged madman in his eyes - he nailed the part, IMO. I think he deserved to win based on the movies I've seen.

But... I think the main reason he won was because of Hollywood loving to put on a show and make a scene. Hell, their ACTORS! Look at how many of them had to comment on Mickey Rourke. Great to see the guy do a 180 but how many of these actors that called him their 'good friend' were such good friends when he was in the gutter?

Anyhow, Maris Tomei is still hot. Enjoy your hat-lunch.

Mr. Penn is HUGELY OVER RATED and is no where in the same league as Daniel Day Lewis. Mr. Penn needs to know he will be remembered for one role and it will not be for the role he won the award for. SPICOLI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, hard to picture the guy who played the Joker was the same guy who was makin' out with Jake Gyllenhaal...sorry to bring that up....and you're right they love the 'show' of it all. Whattaya mean, Mickey Rourke is my BFF.

I think he deserved the award (Heath Ledger). It seemed he could do it all and its a shame at what he did to himself (rather an accident or not he did it to himself). You can compare him to Jack's Joker as much as you like, and Jack was the best part of that movie. But thw two movies don't even compare, and that is prob what really keep Jack from even being considered.

Agree; and they don't realize (or maybe they do) how much power they have in being in the spotlight and the influence they have over people....they have a certain responsibility, I feel, to keep quiet to avoid influencing the feeble-minded, herd-follower who doesn't think for him/herself.
