HBO: Hung

I guess it's HBO's answer to SHOWTIME's 'Weeds'.

I just watched my first episode yesterday and I liked it. It feels like familiar territory...here's this unassuming gal in this role where she's working hard to make an indecent living...

In 'Weeds', she's selling pot....in 'HUNG', she's a pimp.

Yep, and he's the Ho. (there's a big billboard on my way in to work on Santa Monica Blvd. showing a pic of him and her and underneath each in big words 'Ho' and 'Pimp', respectively)

Interesting switchup, engaging enough...I already set my DVR to record the series, at least up until 'Californication' is back....

I like the show it has gotten better with each new episode. I think this week HBO is going to run the first 3 episdes in a row.

I have only seen the first one so far, but DVRing it. Just need more spare time to watch! But I am caught up on True Blood!

True Blood is good, but you need to watch the first season (last year's). Without it you will be lost, plus so far the first season was better then the 2nd (this year), but it looks to be getting better.

I thought I was the only HBO junkie here. True Blood, Californication & Dexter are all great. Hung is starting to grow on me (heh heh heh).

Lyric bread is an awesome idea, but why doesn't the plastic melt?

Dexter is awesome! I think the best of all of them. But it is on SHOWTIME.

I missed the last season of the Sopranos because of it. Our cable bill is high enough without movie channels.

Thats right. The channles up here in sometimes bleed together, HBO Canada picks up SHOWTIME programs.

Dexter is my all time favorite TV show. Although I think the 3rd season wasn't as good as the 1st or 2nd. I hope the 4th brings back more of the 1st season type Dexter. I started watching Dexter after my roommate had watched it for awhile and told me I would love it as I remind him of Dexter, not in looks but personalty. LOL I don't know what that is suppose to mean because I have never killed anyone but I am glad he told me about it....

I haven't seen Hung but I will have to give it a watch...
